 Step #1: Fertilome Crabgrass Preventer Plus Lawn Food

    Known to be one of the most important steps of lawn care to not only get the yard boosted with energy and rich green color, but to also prevent those unwanted weed seeds from germinating as soil temperatures rise.Crabgrass, one of our worst lawn weed grasses, is an annual meaning that it only comes back from seed each spring. Applying Fertilome's Lawn Food Plus Crabgrass Preventer will assist in preventing the majority of the crabgrass seed lying dormant on the soil's surface. The standard Lawn Food plus Crabgrass Preventer does assist in preventing some other weeds, but consider upgrading this application to Fertilome's All Season Crabgrass Preventer Plus Lawn Food. This improved product contains an alternate pre-emergent weed preventer that covers a much broader range of grass and broadleaf weeds for added control. Both of these products comes in 5,000 sq.ft. bags with the first one mentioned also available in 10,000 sq.ft. bags.

Step #2: Fertilome Weed Out & Lawn Food

  This continues as your next fertilizer application to your lawn, Fertilome's Weed Out Plus Lawn Fertilizer, including Weed Out, a post emergent weed killer that assists in controlling and killing out unwanted weeds already growing and present. Often weeds that are perennial in nature or previously germinated in the previous growing season are persistent even if you applied the Step #1 application. This will provide you the next and supplemental post emergent weed control to your lawn.

  Consider selecting an upgraded product with Fertilome's Weed Out Plus Crabgrass Preventer which not only contains the Weed Out post emergent herbicide but also a pre-emergent herbicide to continue preventing weed seeds from germinating, extending your crabgrass prevention, and for those who got behind and failed to apply the Step #1 application.
